Forgotten Cell Phone Etiquette
When you’re with someone and you get a call, excuse yourself before answering it.
When you’re talking to someone on your phone and other people are around, don’t talk with them. If you have to, excuse yourself to the person on the phone before responding. No one likes to sit on the other end while listening to muffled side conversation.
Not everyone likes your ringtone. Unless you’re a 15 year-old girl, get a generic ring. If you’re in public, put your phone on vibrate.
Granted this happened a lot more back when cell phones were first becoming popular, but for the love of God, don’t have one of those “Yeah, I’m at the bookstore. Yeah.” conversations.
Not everyone likes to text. Text accordingly.
Leave your cell phone at home.
